The Department of Physical Education Organizes the 3rd Athletics Championships

Under the auspices of His Excellency the Dean of the College of Education, Dr. Ali bin Muslih Al-Matrifi, and the supervision of the Vice-Dean of the College for Academic Affairs, Dr. Tawfiq bin Idris Al-Bakri, and the Head of the Physical Education Department, Dr. Yusuf bin Atiyyah Al-Thubaiti, the 3rd athletics championships for Department of Physical Education students was held on Monday 25 Rajab, 1439 A.H. at Al-Abdiyyah Stadium. The department's students organized the event.

Several students participated in the 100m, 400m, and 3km races, in addition to the long jump and pole vault. The students' management, organization, and judging of the competition were outstanding.

The students received training in event organization for the second year from Professor Muhammad J. Yunus, the former athletics head coach at Zamalek Sports Club in Egypt. The department pays special attention to these events as an important arena for training and a good field for sharpening skills under the supervision of specialists to maintain the good qualification of graduates.

Dr. Yusuf Al-Thubaiti presented awards to the students who won first place in the competitions. The academic staff also participated in the honoring ceremony to motivate students and encourage them to increase their participation.
