Under the Sponsorship of the Dean of the University College in Al-Qunfudhah, Dr. Yassin Al-Zobaidy, and with the support of the Vice Deanship of Student Affairs at the girls section in Al-Qunfudhah, several cultural and recreational activities and events were held on Wednesday 18 Rajab for students at the theater of the college, under the supervision of the student clubs in the Vice Deanship.
A lecture titled “How to Prepare for Exams” was delivered by Dr. Sahar Al-Saadi. It included a visual presentation for students to help them manage their time and correctly prepare for exams.
A program on charity was also held. It was prepared by the Education Department students, under the supervision of Dr. Amani Al-Shoaiby, presented by Dr. Houaida. It included an explanation of the kinds of charity and its comprehensive meaning to be applied in all aspects of life. Brochures and artistic models on the topic were distributed on the attendees.
This was followed by an artistic lecture titled “Art and Its Objectives: Development of Individuals and Communities”. It was delivered by Dr. Aamina Al-Baladi. The lecture included a presentation that shed light on real-life examples relevant to the subject, with the aim of further enhancing the artistic talents of gifted students in the field.
In the outdoor theater of the college, the students of the English language club, under the supervision of Ms. Taqwa Abdulkarim, made a presentation, distributed brochures, and set up corners about the achievements of Saudi women in 2017-2018. These activities enabled students to understand more about the role of Saudi women in the modern days in terms of development, and their participation in all fields that serve their country. At the same time, there was a religious lecture titled “The Last Resort” at the college’s extension, delivered by Ms. Laila Al-Mahdawi in order to remind people of the conditions of others and the act of returning to God through repentance.
The activities were attended by the college staff and students, who benefited from the event, and praised the efforts made to develop their capacities.
The Vice Dean of Student Affairs, Dr. Sherifa Al-Hazmy, extended her thanks to the individuals who took part in preparing for the event, including faculty members and students, wishing luck for everyone.
