Under the patronage of Dr. Hanadi's Qamara, Vice Dean of the University College in Al-Jamoum (Girls Section), the Voluntary Club at the College organized a visit to the Elderly House in Makkah on Wednesday, 11th Rajab 1439H. The visit was supervised by Ms. Asia Farhaty, Supervisor of the Female Student Affairs Unit.
The visit witnessed the participation of 25 students from the various academic departments. In other words, they met at the College, prepared gifts and went off to the Elderly House at 8:30 am.
The visit started with a breath-taking Qur’anic recitation followed by a visual introductory presentation on the College and student activities during the academic year 1438-1439H. Then, competitions of popular proverbs and candles were held.
In the same context, students entertained and pleased the elderly women by an interesting and distinguished recreational program according to all supervisors and guests. At the end of the visit, students distributed gifts and had lunch with the elderly women. It should be pointed out that the visit achieved its objectives, thanks to Allah. For example, the visit deepened the concept of voluntary work in line with the Saudi Vision 2030, reinforced cohesion among community members, and planted joy at the hearts of the elderly.
On the other hand, and through such visit, everyone noticed the concern by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques (May Allah Save him!) with taking care of and comforting the elderly. Therefore, may Allah reward him!
