6 Awards to Applied Medical Sciences in 9th Scientific Forum

In a brilliant first-time achievement, the College of Applied Medical Sciences won six awards in the Ninth Scientific Forum for Umm Al-Qura University (UQU) students. It is well-known that the Forum was organized by the Deanship of Student Affairs under the patronage of Dr. Bakri bin Maatouq Assas, UQU President. During the Forum, Students/ Dareen Ashqar and Nawal Al-Aidarous ranked first in the Medical Research and Individual Recitation tracks respectively. Student/ Farah Al-Jahny ranked second in the Applied Research track. Moreover, Students/ Riham Qadah and Areej Raweh ranked third in the Innovations and Material-Assisted Paintings tracks respectively. Finally, Student/ Wujdan Bakary ranked fifth in the Innovations track.

In this regard, Dr. Ayman bin Abdurrahim Al-Saegh, Dean of the College, expressed his deepest pride of such first-time achievement at the level of the College. He added that gaining six awards at once in different tracks was an evidence that the College possessed a wealth of talents and energies at various levels. In other words, students of the College demonstrated their abilities and creative spirit that enabled them to compete and excel in various competitions in comparison to their counterparts.  

In the same context, Dr. Al-Saegh extended deep thanks and gratitude to the College’s vice-deans, department heads and affiliates. He added that they supported their students so that they could reach such an achievement.

On the other hand, the winners extended deep thanks and appreciation to the College’s Dean for his constant support in order for them to reach such an honorable level. They also gave special thanks to Dr. Ramia Sanady for the encouragement, participation, organization, coordination, attendance and support she provided to every single student. In addition to that, they thanked Dr. Radi Al-Safy who spared neither time nor effort to support and coordinate the participation of the College in this Forum.
