Within the competitions and events of the Ninth Scientific Forum at Umm Al-Qura University (UQU), the Debate Team of the Institute of Arabic Language for Non-Native Speakers ranked first in the debates between UQU colleges on Wednesday, 26^th Jumada II 1439H. On his part, Dr. Bakri bin Maatouq Assas, UQU President, honored the Debate Team. In addition, the Team was congratulated by Sheikh Dr. Hassan Bukhari, Dean of the Institute, along with the Institute’s Vice-Deans, Department Heads and Academic and Administrative Affiliates. It is worth mentioning that the Team comprised the following students: Suleiman Awlad Hajj Omar, Mam Modo Si, Muhammad Habib Jang, and Shoaib Nadiay. Moreover, the students were thanked for their exerted effort and continuous training all through the finals, which resulted in their outstanding performance in front of their counterparts.

In the same context, the affiliates of the Institute expressed their thanks and appreciation to all participants in the training of the Team. Such participants were led by Prof. Dr. Ahmad bin Mashaal Al-Ghamdi, Dr. Ibrahim Al-Attar, Prof. Abdurrahman Muhammad Alloush Mudkhaly (Scientific Forum Coordinator at the Institute). They were wished eternal guidance, success and progress.
