With the coordination of the College of Nursing, a delegation of students from Ebdaa Secondary Schools in Makkah paid a visit the colleges of Nursing, Dentistry and Medicine at UQU.
The delegation first visited the College of Nursing to learn about the nursing profession and the capabilities available in the college. The Head of the Department of Nursing Sciences and Research, Dr. Mohamed Al-Shamimri, accompanied the teaching assistants of the college and its students to introduce the visitors to the importance of nursing. The visitors also received training in the basic skills of nursing.
The delegation then visited the College of Medicine and had breakfast there, hosted by the student medical club. This was followed by a tour around the Advanced and Modern Center for Clinical Skills at the College of Medicine.
The delegation then visited the College of Dentistry and took a tour around the Educational Dental Hospital and were introduced to the excellent equipment owned by the College.
For his part, the Dean of the College of Nursing and the coordinator of the visit, Dr. Ayman bin Khalid Juhraji, explained that this visit is an extension of the care given by medical colleges in general and the Nursing College in particular to social responsibility. Dr. Juharji then thanked the President of UQU, Dr. Bakri bin Maatouq Assass for his approval to recieve the delegation from the school. He also extended his thanks to the Dean of the College of Medicine, Dr. Abdulsalam Nour Wali, and his distinguished Vice-Deans, as well as to the Dean of the College of Dentistry, Dr. Abdulaziz Al-Khutani, and his distinguished Vice-Deans for the good hosting.
