Dr. Ali bin Muslih Al-Matrify, Dean of the College of Education, opened the fifth session of the Special Education Department. The session was held in the presence of Dr. Muhammad Abduljabbar Al-Salmy (Vice-Dean of the College of Education for Development and Educational Programs), Dr. Talal Aqueel Al-Khairy (Vice-Dean of the College for Graduate Studies), Dr. Tawfeeq Al-Bakry (Vice-Dean of the College for Educational Affairs), Dr. Sobhy bin Saeed Al-Harithy (Head of the Department of Special Education), as well as Special Education staff members. In addition, it was held on Wednesday, 5th Jumada II 1439H, at 11:00 am at the Education College meeting room. In this context, the session recommended the approval of the Master’s program of Special Education in the following tracks: Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Intellectual Disability (ID), Learning Disabilities, and Early Intervention.    

During the session, Dr. Sobhy Al-Harithy gave a presentation on the program. It included the main approval fundamentals of the program and the relevant graduate study forms. It also comprised the basis for program approval strategy, i.e. the entire Department’s tracks and relevant forms, as well as statistics and digits of its potentials and laboratories.

Within the same framework, the Dean and Vice-deans of the College hailed the efforts exerted by the Department. They also stressed its scientific leadership and the necessity to utilize its community service academic experiences. In addition, the Dean extended deep thanks to UQU President for the ultimate care and support for the programs of the College and its departments.
