First Meeting to Discuss Introducing Master’s Programs at Special Education Department

Under the patronage of Dr. Ali bin Musleh Al-Mutrifi, dean of Education College, and in the presence of Dr. Mohammed Abdel-Jabbar Al-Salmi, vice dean of Education College for Development and Educational Programs, Dr. Talal Okail Al-Khiri, vice dean of the College for Postgraduates, and Dr. Sobhi bin Saeed Al-Harthi, head of Special Education Department, in addition to the faculty members; the first meeting for the Vice-Deanship for Developments and Educational Programs was held on Monday, 29/3/1439 AH in the college’s meeting room, to discuss what the Special Education Department had reached concerning the development of the program of graduate studies. The meeting focused on two elements:

1- Future vision of the program

2- Timeline for implementing the vision


The program was presented by Dr. Sobhi Al-Harthi. It included the main principles of the program development and the relevant postgraduate studies forms, which included the Master's program as the first program in this specialization at the Master's degree.

Also, it included all the paths in the section, the models assigned to it, the statistics and the numbers of the department's capabilities and laboratories on which the program development strategy was built.

The dean of the College along with the vice-deans praised the efforts of the Department of Special Education for male and female students, which included the development of the professional and academic Master's program at the postgraduate level; stressing the leadership of the scientific department and the need to benefit from its academic expertise to support and serve the community. He also thanked the university administration for its outstanding attention and support to the programs of the college and departments.
