Under the patronage of Dr. Hassan Bukhari, the Arabic Language Institute celebrated the World Arabic Language Day on Thursday, 3/4/1439 AH, at Faisal bin Fahd Hall in Azizia.
The ceremony was opened by reciting verses from the Holy Quran, read by student Mohammed Issa al-Bukhari. Then, Dr. Hassan bin Abdul-Hamid Bukhari delievered a speech, followed by a competition in writing a story and article; whereas a number of students participated in a fair competition in which they showed their language proficiency, and literary writing in a well manner and in a delicate language.
Following are the winners:
1- Mam Moud Si, Preparation of Teachers Department, 6th Level, in story writing.
2- Al-Mazdri Drami, Arabic Language Teaching Department, 4th Level, in story writing.
3- Mohsen Makami, Preparation of Teachers Department, 8th Level, Islam in my country article.
4- Diaa Allah Abdel-Meguid, Arabic Language Teaching Department, 4th Level, an article about Mecca.
5- Abdel-Wahab Osini, Arabic Language Teaching Department, 4th Level, an article about Mecca.
6- Ali Saco, Arabic Language Teaching Department, 4th Level, an article about Mecca.
Then, the masterpiece contest started between a group of students of our institute in the Preparation of Teachers Department from Senegal, who knew the Arabic language and they loved it and its poems and described their souls with their literature. Today, they are on a date in a poetic contest among themselves; testing what their minds recognized and their talents memorized of soft words and poems.
A contest based on a student saying a verse of poem and the next student saying a verse of poem starts with the previous rhyme started. However, the student who cannot say a verse of poem starts with his previous students’ poem rhyme will come out of the contest.
Another part of the celebration was my experience in leaning Arabic with both students:

Thereafter, there was a scientific symposium about thought and opinion, and with our distinguished professors:
1- Prof. Omar Al-Sadiq
2- Prof. Hassan Mahgoub
3- Prof. Abdel-Naser Subair
4- Prof. Mamoun Al-Dali
In addition, an introduction was made by Dr. Al-Metwali Mahmoud Al-Metwali. Then, a student play was performed by the Arabic Language Teaching Department’s students.
The last part was the distribution of gifts, by the dean, for this ceremony to the professors and students participating in it and the outstanding ones to be a motivation for them in the future
