College of Education Holds (Dealing with Emergency Cases and Aiding Them) Workshop

Under the auspices of Dr. Ali Musleh Al-Matrafi, the Dean of the College of Education; and Dr. Youssef bin Attia Al-Thubaiti, the Head of the Department of Physical Education, a workshop under the theme of (Dealing with Emergency Cases and Aiding Them) was organized. The workshop was held at the college’s large hall on Monday, Rabi’ I 16, 1439H, at 11:30 am.

It was given by Dr. Medhat Qassim Abdul Razeq, the Professor of Sport Injuries, Physical Rehabilitation and Sport Health Sciences at the Department of Physical Education. The event saw the participation of the teaching staff members and the attendance of the department’s students. The workshop included practical training to identify injuries and emergencies, and how to make a correct first aid procedure that would save the life of the injured until the the specialized medical intervention.

It is worth mentioning that the workshop is a part of recurring series of meetings being held within the framework of the scientific activities of the department, under the auspices of Dr. Youssef bin Attia Al-Thubaiti, the Head of the Department of Physical Education. These activities aim at educating, training and raising the students and affiliates’ awareness about the right way of dealing with emergencies, for the matter’s importance for he whole society.

Dr. Ali Musleh Al-Matrafi gave a speech to the attendees, highlighting the importance of the applied scientific knowledge regarding the first aid issue and dealing with the emergencies, as any body can be exposed to it or be in a place where some emergency happens and needs right way of dealing to preserve the life of the injured until the specialized medical team arrives or be transferred to the medical places. He urged the students to be fueled by science and useful specialized information. Moreover, Dr. Mehat Qassim expressed thanks and appreciation to the Dean of the College of Education for his continuous support to the Department of Physical Education’s scientific activities.
