The Psychological and Educational Research Center of the Deanship of Scientific Research, with the cooperation of the Deanship of the College of Education, held a meeting under the title: Research Team Success Story “Intellectual Security Project” on Thursday, Rabi’ I 12, 1439H, at Hall 206, at Al-Zahir Campus at the College of Education. The meeting came among the framework of the Deanship of Scientific Research’s care to activate the participation of the teaching staff members of the College of Education to work in research teams, on which the work of the research centers rely.
The center’s Vice Dean opened the event with welcoming the attendees and thanking the Vice Dean of the College of Education for offering the needed administrative facilities for holding the meeting and. She also thanked the research team members for attending the event. After that, the Vice Dean highlighted the role of the Vice Deanship of the Research Centers at the Deanship of Scientific Research in transferring the “intellectual security” from being a research idea representing a national need to research projects. She also showcased the procedures implemented by the Vice Deanship before reaching the phase of signing the the finance contracts. This was followed by introducing the research team members to the participants.
The research team members started their presentation by thanking the Dean of the Deanship of Scientific Research and the Vice Dean of the College of Education. The team then gave a comprehensive presentation for creating the research team and the steps followed to submit the research proposal. They highlighted that in the proposal they adopted reading its elements accurately, discussing the requirement of each element, and distributing the assignments by consultation and selection. The team also pinpointed the arbitration stages and highlighted the allowed plagiarism and the arbitration factors to which the project was subjected. That was followed by a presentation for the research team’s policy, which is summarized in the coordination between the team members to distribute assignments, organize meetings, determine the assignment distribution policy, and connect the assignment implementation to a schedule. As for the management of the research team, it depended on flexibility, discipline, follow up, transparency and good human relations. The team also discussed the difficulties they encountered and how they overcame them.
At the closing of the event,the team thanked the attendees, who expressed their satisfaction for the content of the meeting and its importance in encouraging them to work in research teams. The attendees asked for more similar meetings,
Dr. Loloah bint Abdul Kareem Al Qowaifly, the Head of the Research Team, along with Dr. Amaal Mohamed Otaiba and Dr. Hanan Salah Aldin Al-Halawani, the Research Team Members, participated in the event. The meeting was conducted by Dr. Diana bint Fahmi Hamad, the Vice Dean of the Psychological and Educational Research Center.
The event was also attended by Dr. Hanadi bint Mohamed Buhairi, the Vice Dean of the College of Education; Dr. Abeer bint Mohamed Al-Saban, the Vice Dean of the College of Education; Dr. Maison bin Zayed Al-Bunyan, the Vice Dean of the Deanship of Postgraduate Studies; Dr. Somaia bint Hashem Hariri, the Vice Dean of the Medical Science Research Center; in addition to the Deputy Heads of the Departments of the College of Education, a group of teaching staff members and postgraduate students.
