Under the sponsorship of Dr. Ali bin Mosleh Al-Motrafi, the Dean of the College of Education, and the supervision of Dr. Tawfik bin Edris Al-Bakri, the Vice Dean of the College for Educational Affairs, and Dr. Youssef bin Atteya Al-Thobaity, the head of the Physical Education Department, the Department held a camp for new students from 16 to 19 Safar 1439AH at the Permanent Youth Camp in Al-Orafaa in Ta'if city, which is affiliated to the General Sport Authority. The new students' camp was held in the presence of 77 new and transferred students. The camp included several fitness, football, and volleyball activities, in addition to public service competitions and a contest for the best service held at the food court among families and another for "best family campfire party".
The camp was able to identify the fitness level of students as well as their fitness skills in the football and volleyball competitions. There was an atmosphere of intimacy between students and faculty members. In a speech at the end of the camp, students have emphasized their will to organize an annual camp for all students of the department.
