Within the cooperation framework between Umm Al-Qura University (UQU) and Makkah community, Dr. Raafat Abdel Moneim Hassanein, a professor at the Department of Laboratory Medicine at the UQU College of Applied Medical Sciences gave a lecture titled (Health Instructions) to the students of Al-Balad Al-Ameen School for Gifted Students in Makkah, on Wednesday, Rabi' I 4, 1439H, equivalent to November 22, 2017.
The lecture aimed at developing the listening, speaking, scientific researching, and information collecting and briefing skills, in addition to improving the mental and social capabilities and enabling the flexible usage of time and information. The session discussed many topics, including the personal responsibility towards health; the importance of understanding the components and functions of the human body and its different systems; and the most frequent disease and ways of prevention. The lecture tackled the importance of the healthy nutrition and the diversity of its sources to avoid obesity and mal nutrition, in addition to practicing sports to keep the body fit and healthy.
