The University President Approves the Admission Results of Graduate Studies Candidates

Dr. Bakri Matouq Assas, the President of Umm Al-Qura University approved the admission results of the candidates who applied for the graduate studies programs for the academic year 1437/1438 H.

The Deanship of Graduate Studies is thus pleased to announce the shotlisted candidates for the PhD, Master’s degree and diploma programs.

Document check:

All candidates are required to finalize the admission procedures after checking their documents and making sure they meet the requirements set by the unified graduate studies bylaw at the offices of the Deanship of Graduate Studies at Al-Abdiya (for males) or Al-Zaher (for females).

Time limit for checking documents:

The time limit starts as of Monday 16 Shaban 1437 H. and ends on Thursday, 11 Ramdan 1437 H. according to the following order:

Required documents:

  1. Original bachelor’s degree certificate or a certified copy of it for diploma and master’s degree candidates, and the original master’s degree certificate or a certified copy of it for PhD candidates
  2. Original transcript or a certified copy of it
  3. Original national ID card, residence card or passport. Copies are not accepted.
  4. Original English language proficiency certificate (TOEFL or IELTS) and the university capabilities certificates as stated in each program requirements.

Note:

The required documents must be submitted. Incomplete files are not accepted and accordingly admission will be canceled immediately.

Candidates occupying governmental posts (academic or other posts) are required to submit:

  • An approval from the workplace for the master’s study.
  • An approval from the authorized person to study for the PhD on a full-time basis for a period that is not less than 6 semesters according to the unified graduate studies bylaw and its regulations.
  • Internal scholarship decree for teaching assistants and lecturers working in Saudi universities, and the deadline for submitting the scholarship decrees is Thursday, 01 Zil-Qe’da 1437 H. In case, the decree is not submitted before the deadline, admission will be canceled.

Students who postponed admission from 1436/1437 H.

  • Please check with the Deanship of Graduate Studies according to the above schedule to finalize the admission procedures. In case, they do not show up before the set deadlines, admission will be canceled.
