The College of Applied Medical Sciences organized the “Internship Day” at the King Abdullah Medical City on Wednesday, 11 Shaban 1437 H. The event aimed at preparing senior students to the internship year so as to best represent UQU and the college, and prove themselves to be competent and efficient graduates. Regulations and laws that govern the students’ internship were presented. A presentation of the “Internship” booklet which is used by interns to record the details of their internships and follow up their progress.

Dr. Maher Al-Indigani, the Vice-Dean for Hospital Affairs, and Dr. Mebsher Khan, professor at the Department of Laboratory Medicine made a detailed explanation of all that is related to the internship year.

The College Dean, Dr. Ahmed Ashi gave a speech in which he called on students to do their best during the internship year because this year is an adequate chance for them to acquire new skills and experience. He also urged them to leave a good impression at the internship hospitals so as to gain the utmost benefit. The Dean also stressed the importance of commitment to all regulations and rules during the internship so as to reflect a bright image of the Department of Laboratory Medicine, the College and the University.
