With the grace and aid of Allah, Oroub Al-Hamidy, the student at the department of laboratories medicine, was awarded a prize for the third best visual presentation at the fourth Middle East Conference and Fair for Molecular Biology held in Abu Dhabi. Al-Hamidy gave a scientific presentation for a research titled (Bioinformatic analysis of COPD associated IREB2 genetic variants).
The research was conducted under the supervision of His Excellency, Dr. Ayman Al-Sa'egh, assistant professor at the department of laboratories medicine. He stressed the high level of academic research at the College of Applied Sciences which keeps pace with and even outperforms the researches provided by some of the most prestigious international universities. Al-Sa'egh also thanked the dean of the College of Applied Sciences, His Excellency Dr. Ahmed bin Mohamed Ashi; the first supporter of the creations of the college's students.
