The Department of Physical Education organized on Monday 25th of Safar 1437H a workshop under the theme "Towards Activating e-Learning", in the presence of the Vice-Dean of the College of Education, Dr. Obaidullah Allehyani, and the Vice-Dean for Educational Affairs, Dr. Abdullah Al-Attas. The introducers of the workshop were Dr. Gamal Ramadan and Dr. Ahmed Abdel Fattah Hussein.
The workshop is reckoned one of the scientific activities included in the series of programs and scientific activities which were approved to be presented during the academic year 1436/1437H, Allah willing. It should be noted here that the department is seeking with all its capacities to keep pace with the modern developments in the field of education and e-learning, as highlighted by Dr. Tawfiq Al-Bakri in the opening of the scientific workshop.
During the workshop, various educational electronic software in the field of physical education and sports is presented as applicable and adjustable models according to the nature of scientific courses. Additionally, the learning management system in Umm Al-Qura University was reviewed, and the ways of activating and making use of it in light of the particular nature of the department of physical education.
