Under the Education College Dean's auspices, a seminar was held under the theme: "Towards Better Staff Health" The seminar, held at the Education College's Grand Auditorium on Thursday, Shaaban 22, 1438H, was given by Dr. Medhat Q. Abdurraziq, professor of sports health sciences at the Physical Education Department, and Dr. Tawfik al-Bakri, Vice Dean of the College for Educational Affairs. The seminar was attended by a considerable number of the college's administrative staff.
Targeting the college's administrative staff, the seminar aimed in the first place to urge them to adopt a healthy lifestyle, to preserve their health and well-being.
The seminar touched on the healthy habits associated with administrative and office work. It highlighted that staff have to practice simple exercises, especially those suffering from such diseases as diabetes, joint stiffness, muscle weakness, and so on. During the seminar, attractive, well-prepared presentations were given, to better deliver the message of the seminar.
As the seminar drew to a close, the dean of the College of Education reiterated the importance of such topics that are tightly related to the staff's work and lives, and called for holding similar events to emphasize their importance. He declared that similar seminars will be held in coordination with the Physical Education Department.
