Dr. Fahad ibn Atiq Al Maliki and Dr. Amr bin Abdulaziz Munir, historians at the Department of History, College of Shari'ah, have taken part in the Conference of the History of Applied and Medical Sciences that was organized at Imam Muhammad bin Saud Islamic University in Riyadh on Shabaan 6-8, 1438H.
Dr. Al Maliki opened his speech with a poem on the history of science in the Arab and Muslim worlds. In his poetic verses, the Shari'ah College's historian shed light on Akshamsaddin, an influential Ottoman religious scholar and poet, in the field of medicine. Egyptian historian Roshdi Rashed, who attended the conference, hailed research paper presented by Dr. Amr Munir under the theme "The Burning Mirrors" which received great deal of admiration.
The two papers were part of the college's academic participation in local, regional and international conferences.
