The College of Shari`ah and Islamic Studies, with the cooperation of the University Medical Center, held a meeting entitled: "The Importance of Taking the Vaccine and Applying the Precautionary Measures". The meeting was presented by Her Excellency Dr. Tahani Rashad Jamal on Tuesday, 8 Muharram 1443 A.H., via the WebEx program. She addressed the following themes in the meeting:
- How to Return with Caution. This covers how to return to college and adopt the preventive instructions, which include: wearing the face mask, not shaking hands, and keeping a safe distance from others.
- “Let’s Cooperate Without Negligence: Why Do We Take the Vaccine?”: In this regard, she urged the audience to take the vaccines, referring to the importance of taking the vaccine to avoid becoming infected by the disease, for our safety and the safety of others.
- Wrong Information About COVID-19: Dr. Tahani mentioned some stories about those who underestimated the disease and the negative results of such underestimation.
- Groups Who Are Most Vulnerable to the Disease and Its Complications: Dr. Tahani named the groups who are most vulnerable to the disease, including people with chronic diseases, the elderly, and children.
- Who is the Champion with Regard to the Precautions?: She said the champion, with regard to the precautions, is the person who follows the preventive guides and takes the vaccine.
The meeting, which gained the appreciation of the female affiliates of the university, also included a PowerPoint presentation. At the end of the meeting, Dr. Tahani answered the questions asked by the audience. Moreover, the college handed a certificate of thanks and appreciation to the lecturer for her fruitful efforts.
