Vice President of Umm Al-Qura university Dr. Yassir bin Suleiman Shoushou paid an inspection visit to the Documents and Administrative Communication Center at the university headquarters in Azizia on Thursday Rajab 16, 1438 h to check on e-archiving system of different university transactions, whereas the number of the archived transactions since commence of e-archiving process 6 months ago reached about 239 thousand document. During his visit, Dr. Shoushou was accompanied by the Director of the Documents and Administrative Communication Center Mr. Abdullah Al-Solaimani.
Meanwhile, Dr. Shoushou expressed his keenness to e-archiving all university transactions during the past years depending on the work team formed for this purpose. He added that 2500 documents are being archived on daily basis in addition to the daily transactions made by the university in its main Headquarters in Makkah or its branches in Jamoum, Al-Laith, Al-Qunfudhah and Adhm as a result of the high qualification in the administrative development process the university endeavors to provide for its affiliates, pointing out that the second updated version of the administrative communication system will be launched within a short period.
He went on to add that the archiving process was preceded by several workshops to introduce e-archiving system launched by UQU President recently, indicating that the e-system at Documents and Administrative Communication Center enables UQU affiliates including; faculty members, employees and students to track their transactions since issuance up to conclusion. He then branded the system as a qualitative leap in achieving the transactions in only few minutes and sending them to related parties, unlike the old routine system.
Concluding his speech, Dr. Shoushou said the university endeavors to provide high quality services within short time for its employees praising the efforts exerted by the Director of the Documents and Administrative Communication Center Mr. Abdullah Al-Solaimani and all the affiliates of the center.
For, his part, Mr. Al-Solaimani said that e-archiving of all university transactions in the past period comes within the permanent directives of the UQU President Dr. Bakri Assas and the continuous follow-up of the UQU Vice President Dr. Yassir Shoushou.
