Under the support of the Dean of Jamoum University College, Dr. Tawfiq bin Ali Al-Sharif and direct supervision of the Head of Chemistry Department Dr. Sami bin Abdullah Al-Harbi, Chemistry Department held a scientific trip to Petro Rabigh Company on Wednesday April 26, 2017 where they were received by the public relation office at the company Mr. Amar Fadaak who welcomed the visitors and appreciated the department for giving the needed concern to students and introduce work reality for them after graduation and help them to plan carefully for their future. He then issued entry permission for all the members of the trip.  

  
After that, students and faculty members inspected central control unit at the company accompanied by Eng. Saeed Al-Ghamdi and checked on oil refining and processing operations, the production of naphtha, gasoline and kerosene, manufacturing units of monomers such as ethylene glycol and propylene oxide and polymers manufacturing units  such as polyethylene and polypropylene.


During their visit, the students commended the company for the scientific benefits they have gained from their visit and wished to have similar visits to similar companies, the thing which will qualify them after graduation to join such companies and keep pace with the requirements of the job market.  


It must be mentioned here that the scientific visit came as part of the keenness of chemistry department at Jamoum University College to help its students achieving the highest scientific quality level which qualify them to compete their peers in the different universities. 


At the conclusion of the visit, a partnership agreement was signed between the department and the company to benefit from the company's capabilities in supporting the educational process at the department under the support of the Dean of Jamoum University College, Dr. Tawfiq bin Ali Al-Sharif and direct supervision of the Head of Chemistry Department Dr. Sami bin Abdullah Al-Harbi.
