Praise be to Allah! Peace and blessings be upon our noblest Prophet Muhammad, as well as all his family and companions!

The Department of Arabic Teachers Training for Non-Native Speakers presents a Bachelor program in teaching Arabic to non-native speakers. The program balances several domains of graduate preparation: language, education and culture. In other words, students learn how to teach the Arabic language. They study how to design and include Arab and Islamic culture within curricula and courses of teaching Arabic to non-native speakers.

The program also presents fourth-and-eighth-level field training to teaching Arabic to non-native speakers. In this regard, students are trained to their acquired educational concepts and knowledge such as:

• Preparation and implementation of lessons effectively and efficiently.
• Use of appropriate teaching methods and education techniques and activities.
• Time distribution on lesson elements, and good classroom management.
• Diversification in the methods of evaluation.

It is worth mentioning that through such training, students practically teach Arabic to the Institute’s Diploma students.

The program also qualifies its graduates as teachers of Arabic to non-native speakers. In addition, it allows them to work as translators from their mother tongue into Arabic and vice versa, or as editors in newspapers and the like, giving them the opportunity to work in embassies, cultural missions and the media. Moreover, the program’s graduates are qualified for postgraduate studies’ programs in their disciplines.

It should be pointed out that the Department is currently working on the design of coming-soon postgraduate programs in teaching Arabic to non-native speakers, God willing.
