If you wish to become a professional pharmacist and are looking for a college with personal attention, and excellent student services, then come to the Faculty of Pharmacy UQU and enjoy studying in our small classes and community atmosphere.

The female section at the Faculty of Pharmacy UQU is characterized by a warm and friendly atmosphere between the students and staff members. It includes five classrooms each with a seating capacity of 50 students and supported with a data show, portable board as well as a smart board. Two classrooms are additionally supported with video conferencing equipment. A small class room is also available for students’ group work and independent learning. Seven labs for practical sessions in the different courses, equipped with the required devices (e.g. Rota vapor, water bath, hotplate, fume hood, magnetic stirrer) are also available. In addition, each lab contains a data show, white board as well as LCD screens that offer theoretical explanation of practical sessions and video demonstrations of experiments before their practical performance.

You will get to know very well your professors and colleagues because of our community atmosphere. The dean, teaching staff members and administrative staff are accessible and highly supportive, contributing to the success of our students and the warm atmosphere they enjoy at the faculty. The academic office is committed to helping you solving academic issues and even provides advices for personal issues as we consider ourselves one big family. The democratic atmosphere at the faculty is furthermore supported by the regular request of students’ feedback on different courses and teaching methods in our online course surveys. There are also various student club activities and social events to get involved with.

Our students are taught courses through a variety of teaching and learning activities including lectures, tutorials, practical classes, team-based learning sessions, and research projects. In fourth, fifth and sixth-year studies, they are offered the opportunity of attending clinical tutorials that are run within hospitals. During this time, they will interact with patients, pharmacists and other healthcare professionals. This valuable practical experience helps developing students’ communication skills and gives them an insight on disease processes and rational drug therapy.

    Looking forward to welcoming you.
