Praise be to Allah, the Lord of the Worlds, and peace and blessings be upon the most honorable of all Prophets and the last of all Messengers, our Prophet Muhammad, and upon his family and companions.
We would like to extend our welcome to you at the website of the Department of Community Nursing and Crowd Healthcare, which constitutes one of the main academic departments of the College of Nursing at Umm Al-Qura University.
To achieve the mission of the College of Nursing, the department aims at graduating qualified nursing staff, equipped with high individual nursing and leadership skills to enable them to work as efficient members of the healthcare team. They should be proficient and reliable enough to raise the level of health awareness in different community environments, and actively participate in both scientific and research activities. To attain such a level of competency, they will be taught by selected academic staff members who demonstrate dedicated efforts to ensure the quality of the education provided, and the outputs and outcomes achieved.
The courses delivered by the Department of Community Nursing and Crowd Healthcare mainly focus on the concept of promoting good health and disease prevention, and providing nursing care to all segments of society, in sickness and in health. They also focus on the promotion of psychological health, occupational health, school health, and elder care.
The department plays an active role in strengthening and consolidating the relationship between the college and the government and non-government bodies, which, in turn, contribute to raising the importance of the nursing profession, meeting the health needs of the guests of the Holy House and all segments of society.
Finally, we aspire, as a department, to become a pioneer in the field of community health, on a local, regional and global level.
