The Department of Islamic Studies was established to create a favorable environment for an educational process that develops the Islamic traits of the female students. It aims at getting necessary academic accreditation, ensuring high quality education outputs and serving the community to solve issues under the rules of the Islamic Shari'ah.

Objectives:

1. The department aims at serving the Islamic studies via a group of courses, syllabi and researches. In addition, it addresses the causes and issues that may appear at anytime in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
2. It ensures that quality standards are applied on all courses, teaching methodologies and scientific researches in addition to the availability of knowledge resources.
3. The department is responsible for providing sustainable and professional development for the teaching staff.
4. It creates a database for the students and the teaching staff members.
5. It provides due care for the students' qualification and development in addition to the material and human resources needed for their success.
6. It develops qualifications of all administrative cadres
7. It provides constant development for the education facilities and tools to enhance quality of educational services.
8. It pursues the renaissance of the department by setting the team work's rules.

Mission:

The Department of Islamic Studies provides education and human resources development services for the female students and lays the foundations of the Islamic creed and culture into their hearts. It plays a role in solving problems and challenges faced by the Muslim world. It illuminates and immunizes girls against challenges that are facing Islam. In addition, it creates new sections to cover more branches of education including Qira'at (Recitations) of the Holy Quran.
