The main tasks of the department
Digitizing paper information resources (books, scientific theses, manuscripts, articles, studies, and research).
Converting microfiche to digital resources.
Converting microfilms to digital resources.
Converting the contents of a laser or hard disk drive to a network disk.
Ability of implementing the project of adding the subject catalog to books, in coordination with the Department of Group Development.
Uploading digitized information resources into the storage space.
Coordinating with the department of technical support in the library to solve technical problems.
Contributing to raising the scientific classification of Umm Al-Qura University and to supporting the knowledge economy.
Contributing to the dissemination of the outstanding scientific and intellectual production at Umm Al-Qura University.
