Abstract
The study sought to ascertain the reality of study programs for the social work specialisation in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in terms of including the military social service course, as well as to develop a future vision for the social work specialisation and its application in the military field. The study relied on the descriptive-analytical research method, by surveying and analysing the educational programs for the bachelor's, master's, and doctoral social work specializations in Saudi universities. The study reached many results including:
To introduce social service in the military field, the following is required:
- Approval to teach a military life course in undergraduate social work education programs.
- Opening up the training field in the military sectors, particularly in military colleges.
- Encouraging research and studies on social work in the military.
- Holding seminars and workshops for social workers to get acquainted with the latest trends in the practice of military social service.
