20260803330This study aims to demonstrate the emotional argumentation in the young adult novel)The Journey of the Najdi Boy(, in accordance with (Plantin(’s theory; given the role that emotion plays in the persuasive communicative process, as it constitutes a principal component of argumentation; It relies on the recipient’s motivational and psychological traits in order to prepare them to receive ideas, accept them, and be convinced by them, something that purely rational argumentative means fall short of achieving, and aligns with the developmental stage of young adults; is one in which emotion prevails over reason, and in which young people’s identities are shaped by whatever stirs their feelings.The study concludes that emotion is a structural pillar that carries argumentation within the narrative; every emotional utterance and emotional focal point justifies a value or stance through an underlying flow of arguments informed by shared knowledge. This renders the young reader’s experience governed by carefully crafted emotional shifts. The study recommends expanding research to include other literary texts built upon emotional experiences and psychological transformations that drive the narrative to intensify emotion and employ it across its various contexts
