Abstract
The research aims to reveal the purpose of Imam Al-Bukhari in extracting the endowed traces on the Companions, limiting them to chapters that were devoid of the hadiths attributed in his Sahih, and to highlight his approach to mentioning those traces. The methods used in this research varied, including inductive, deductive, and descriptive. One of the most prominent results of this research was that the endowed traces linked to the companion in Sahih Al-Bukhari is judged to be true. Al-Bukhari relied on those endowed traces that were linked to the Companions in his Sahih. It is either part of a marfoo’ hadith, or another path to it, or it is part of the narrator’s narration, or it is endowed in wording and judgment. He lists it, relying on chapters devoid of Musnad hadith. It is one of the sources of his jurisprudence in his deductions with which he translated the chapters in his Sahih. The relationship between those endowed traces and the translation of the chapter to which he was limited is closely related to its purposes.
