Abstract
The aim of this research is to investigate the effect of a proposed strategy that integrates the Suchman Investigative Model and the Generative Model to enhance conceptual understanding among graduate students in the Modern Trends in Teacher Preparation course. The researcher employed an experimental method with a quasi-experimental design (two groups: experimental and control). The research sample consisted of 12 students selected intentionally, with five students in the control group and seven students in the experimental group. A conceptual understanding test was designed, consisting of 21 items distributed across five field. The results revealed the significant impact of the proposed strategy in enhancing the students' conceptual understanding. In light of the study's findings, it was suggested to focus on utilizing diverse teaching models that contribute to developing the capabilities and skills of university students and training them in inquiry, research, and discovery skills.
