Abstract
The study intends to recognize change leadership abilities that the educational supervisor must develop for High school teachers in Jerusalem suburbs from the sight of the educational supervisors, school headteachers and teachers. And to create a proposed model for the educational supervisor’s duty in enhancing change leadership abilities for teachers at those schools. The researcher used the descriptive analytical method to suit the study intentions. The study sample was comprised of (35) individuals, from whom (5) were educational supervisors,(10) principles and (20) teachers, the selected were as purposive sample with all more than 15 years of work experience. The researcher used individual interview method to collect data for the principles and educational supervisors,and focus groups For teachers.Each interview consisted of ten questions covering five aspects.The study findings showed several strategies and methods in activating the duty of educational supervisor in development of teachers’ skills in building change culture,strategic planning,evaluation and continuous improvement and encouragement and creativity stimulation; which the researcher benefited of to build the proposed model. In reference to the results of the study the researcher recommends using the proposed model in evaluating and improving change leadership skills of educational leaders in the Suburbs.
