Abstract
The study aimed to determine the reality of the administrative performance of the Department of Educational Leadership and Policies at Taif University in light of the principles of administrative governance in their dimensions: (transparency, justice, participation), and to identify the challenges (organizational, human, material) that limit their application. To achieve the objectives of the study, the researcher used The descriptive survey method and the questionnaire as a tool for the study were applied in a comprehensive inventory method to all faculty members, administrative staff and postgraduate students in the Department of Educational Leadership and Policies at Taif University, numbering (152), The study concluded that the reality of administrative performance in the Department of Educational Leadership and Policies at Taif University in light of the principles of administrative governance It came with a (medium) score in the dimensions of (transparency, justice), and a low score in the (participation) dimension. The results showed the presence of challenges with a (high) degree in general, the most notable of which are the weak suitability of organizational structures to administrative governance practices, the lack of sufficient awareness of their requirements, and the weakness of financial incentives. The study showed that there were statistically significant differences regarding (the reality of performance) attributed to the nature of work variable and for the benefit of faculty members, and the absence of statistically significant differences attributed to the gender variable.
