Abstract
This article addresses some of the challenges that researchers face when implementing mixed methods in human and educational phenomena. The principle of combining qualitative and quantitative approaches has generated many challenges in mixing data and integrating strategies. Internationally, these challenges have become a tangible reality while publishing mixed methods papers. Therefore, this paper sheds light on five common issues faced by mixed methods researchers: challenges related to mixed methods designs, data collection, data analysis, interpretation, integration process between qualitative and quantitative components, and quality criteria. It is worth noting that I am trying to increase researchers' understanding and awareness of the challenges in order to deal with them wisely during their research. When researchers take these challenges into account, the quality of mixed methods research is enhanced and their studies can provide high-quality knowledge to the audience.
