Abstract
The current study aimed to identify the degree of use of electronic thinking maps strategy by intermediate-school mathematics male and female teachers and the obstacles to its use from their point of view, in Jeddah governorate. The research sample consisted of (120) male and female teachers who were selected by random method and the descriptive approach was used. The research tools were represented in the questionnaire prepared by the researcher, which contained (27) phrases divided into two axes, the first contained (14) phrases about the degree of use, the second contained (13) about the obstacles to use, the Likert quadratic scale. The results of the study showed that the overall average degree of use of electronic thinking maps strategy by mathematics male and female teachers from their point of view came with an average score of 2.94, that the overall average of the obstacles to using electronic thinking maps strategy by male and female teachers in teaching mathematics from their point of view came with a large degree and an average of 3.34. The absence of statistically significant differences at the level of significance (∝≤0.5) in the degree of using the strategy of electronic thinking maps for intermediate school male and female teachers is attributed to (gender, qualification, experience), the study recommended the establishment of specialized training courses for male and female teachers; to show the importance of using electronic thinking maps in teaching, and to clarify its educational benefits.
