Abstract
The purpose of this study was to estimate the prevalence of subthreshold depression among the university students. And determine the most important common features. To achieve the objectives of the study, data were drawn from a sample of (214) participants by using Beck Depression Inventory-second edition (BDI-II). the results shown that the prevalence rate of subthreshold depression within the participants were (11.2%). the most important common features were respectively (loss of interest, loss of pleasure, concentration difficulty and crying), on other hand the undergraduate were significantly higher than graduate students, there are no differences in the dimensions of gender or even the college. So, the researcher recommend to conduct an exploratory research to investigate the causes of subthreshold depression, in addition to intensify preventive and therapeutic intervention.
