Abstract
This study aim to clarify the educational jurisprudence in raising children to pray, and its methods in the light of this hadith, by deriving the linguistic and jurisprudential issues. It aimed to emphasize the most important educational methods that educators should use in applying this hadith. The researcher used deductive and documentary methods. The researcher found a number of results. This Hadith is an origin in raising children to pray. The command for a boy at the age of seven means prayer is recommended for him. The obligation to pray includes commanding him to perform ablution and pray in the mosque. Bringing boys to mosques who are below the age of seven is not allowable. If a boy misses a prayer, he should be ordered to make it up in order to practice it. The private parts of a distinguished boy should be covered. If he reaches the age of ten, he should cover from the navel to the knees. As for distinguished girls, their private parts must be covered from the navel to the knees. If a distinguished boy prays, he will receive a reward for his prayer. The most important educational methods are supplication, setting a good example, direct instruction, preaching, and discipline.
