Abstract
The study aimed to ensure the compatibility of the outcomes of Visual Arts Programs at Umm Al-Qura University with the economic and social development requirements and capabilities achieved by these programs in supporting alumni in professional development, sustainability, and alignment with the labor market. It also aimed to determine the satisfaction level of faculty members at the Visual Arts Department. Therefore, the researcher adopted the descriptive survey approach and applied a questionnaire to two samples of the population: A “random sample” representing 70% of the population of the alumni of Visual Arts Programs at Umm Al-Qura University from 2016 and are expected to graduate in 2025 and an “intentional sample” representing 90% of the population of the faculty members at Visual Arts Department at Umm Al-Qura University in the men and women campuses. The results revealed that the outcomes of Visual Arts Programs at Umm Al-Qura University promoted alumni support (57.4%), aligned with continuous professional development (63%), and achieved sustainability and alignment with the labor market (65.8%). Hence, they aligned with the requirements of economic and social development (64.7%). This result demonstrated that the Visual Arts Department and its programs help achieve the mission and vision of the university, as they help achieve the objectives of institutional accreditation at Umm Al-Qura University. Moreover, the satisfaction level of the faculty members at the Visual Arts Department, Umm Al-Qura University was 64.7%.
