Abstract
The current study aimed to measure the degree of use of electronic blogs in developing self-learning skills in mathematics for High school students. The descriptive approach was used to suit the purposes of the study, and to achieve this goal, an electronic questionnaire and a self-learning scale for High school students were designed. The validity and reliability of the study tools were ensured. The study sample consisted of (116) mathematics teachers from High schools in Abha, Saudi Arabia, and (107) High school students from Abha, Saudi Arabia. The Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS) was used to process the data. The results of the study showed that the degree of use of interactive electronic blogs in teaching mathematics from the perspective of mathematics teachers was high. The difficulties of using interactive electronic blogs in teaching mathematics were at a moderate level. The results of using interactive electronic blogs in developing self-learning skills in mathematics from the perspective of High school students were also high. The study concluded with several recommendations in light of its results.
