Abstract
The current study aimed to investigate the effectiveness of the artificial intelligence by creating a chatbot, that has been used as a tool in teaching the students with intellectual disabilities on how to count in English. It also aimed to verify the impact of the chatbot in acquiring, retaining, and generalizing the counting skill in English language for students with intellectual disabilities This study was carried on three female students with intellectual disabilities in Grade 11 in a public secondary school in Unaizah. The age of the students ranged between (17-20) years. The single-subject design approach was used by the multiple baseline design across the participants to achieve the objectives of the study. The results did About female students acquiring the skill of counting in English, retaining it, and generalizing it. The study introduced some recommendations that would support education for students with disabilities.
