The Department of Construction Engineering was established in 1432 A.H. at the College of Engineering in Al-Qunfudhah with the aim of graduating well-qualified engineers, both scientifically and skillfully, to meet the increasing need for engineers in the construction sector of our beloved kingdom. It also aims at contributing in offering research and studies required by the great and successive developments in the branches of the science of construction.

The department constantly seeks to achieve development and distinction, because of what it has of outstanding academic staff members, to obtain international academic accreditation through the achievement of academic standards pertaining to the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET).
