The lab contains the equipment and devices used to conduct experiments to determine the type, components and manner of the soil under the impact of  the transmitted loads. It also includes the special equipment for preparing samples for experiments, such as grinders, slurry blenders and sample distributors.

The lab contains the gauges and data recording devices for soil displacement and strain, foundation models, and soil pore pressure change. Soil reaction frames and hydraulic compressors to load the models of the shallow and deep foundations

The lab serves the educational purposes for the students in teaching the practical part of the soil and rock mechanics and foundation engineering curriculum, and conducting the lab experiments of the graduation projects. Moreover, it also serves the research purposes in the fields of structural and construction engineering.
