عن Volunteer work and social responsibility Department
Vision
Enabling Umm Al-Qura University to be a local and regional reference in the field of voluntary work and social responsibility.
Overview
The Administration of Voluntary Work is one of the newly established departments in a time-honored university. The university’s interest in volunteer work goes back to the year 1418 A.H., when the first scientific conference for voluntary services was held. A symposium on volunteer work and future prospects was held in 1433 A.H. Since then, their interest in this field has never faded. Then the Voluntary Work Unit was established at the College of Community Service and Continuing Education, which was later accredited as a vice deanship in the College of Community Service and Continuing Education. Finally, the UQU President issued a decision to establish the Administration of Voluntary Work as an independent department affiliated to His Excellency the Vice President for Development and Community Service.
Mission
Achieving leadership in offering voluntary and communal services to the society and the guests of Al-Rahman in a stimulating academic environment by creating effective partnerships.
