Overview:
Vice-deanships of the College of Shari'ah and Islamic Studies is responsible for organizing work at the college and to manage its affairs under the Education Council's rules and regulations.
Objectives:
To create and develop scientific research infrastructure at the college in order to meet research requirements. To that end, the following shall be achieved:
1. To establish scientific labs
2. To collect databases for the college's scientific production
3. To provide up-to-date technologies needed for the development and support of inventions and creativity
Mission:
To support programs and projects in concern with the technological research and scientific activities. In addition, it is related to publication, development and implementation follow-up of researches made by the departments. This is made to guarantee consistency with strategic plan set by the Vice-presidency of Graduate Studies and Scientific Researches.
Duties of the college's vice-dean:
1- To coordinate and control administrative work flow at departments;
2- To specify department's technical and administrative needs in coordination with the Deanship of Staff and Employee Affair;
3- To manage leaves and vacations for administrative and technical staff;
4- To act as a dean of the college when the dean leaves for annual vacations;
5- To assume the responsibility of the college's board secretarial work and to coordinate efforts with its members regarding the agenda and recommendations;
6- To recommend exceptional and urgent leaves for academics under the rules and regulations; and
7- To monitor the improvement of work flow at the college.
