Saudi Scientific Association of Arabic Calligraphy at Umm Al-Qura University has organized a scientific lecture by the artist Mr. Nassir Abdul-Aziz Al-Maimoun on "Student's politeness towards his instructor in the field of Arabic calligraphy". Present in the lecture were the chairman of the board of directors of the association Dr. Abdullah Fattini and members of the board of directors. The lecture was organized at the association's headquarters in the university branch in Azizia.   
 

The lecturer reviewed examples of politeness of students and educated people towards their sheikhs and lecturers in the booming eras of Islamic art and Arabic calligraphy. He indicated that the mutual relation between student and his instructor must be based on love, respect and veneration and that student must not criticize works of his instructors  particularly after their deaths. 
 

At the sideline of the lecture, Member of the boards of Directors  Eng. Siraj Allaf said the lecture comes within the different  programs and activities of the association adding that the association has organized large number of programs in the field of Arabic calligraphy in Makkah and Jeddah which attracted attention of large numbers of Arabic calligraphy enthusiasts.

For his part, the member of the boards of Directors Dr. Abdullah Attar lauded all the Calligraphers in the Kingdom for their interest in Arabic calligraphy and urged them to interact with the activities of the association and contact it to organize courses in this field to support and disseminate this authentic Arabic art
