Dr. Abdulmajeed Fahd Al-Rifaei presented a scientific seminar on Sunday 20th JumadaII 1438H in the presence of Dr. Samir Hasan Qari, Head of the Biology Department, and staff members.
The seminar was titled "Genes Responsible for Spinal Cord Formation." Dr. Al-Rifaei discussed a number of genes that were responsible for the formation of sensory and motor nerves in the spinal cord. Moreover, he illustrated the significance of knowing such genes' mechanism, in order to discover treatment of congenital anomalies in human fetus or to cure spinal-cord-injury-caused paralysis.
