The Acting Dean of Information Technology, Dr. Atif Al-Hejaili, today launched the third phase of the Government Resource System Project "Wafi" that aims to develop financial management, planning, procurement, warehouse, and inventory control systems.
The director of the Project of the Enterprise Resource Management System, Mr. Khalid Basir, underlined that the third phase of the project aimed to train the employees on using ERP systems. This came after presenting the second phase, which included workshops and discussions of the remarks given by the concerned administrations, in addition to working on the outcomes of the training sessions, taking notes, and making the needed amendments in order to test them during the system testing phase prior to the actual launch of the system.
It is noteworthy that "Wafy" is an integrated electronic system that includes the automation of all financial and administrative processes at the university, known as the Enterprise Resource Planning System (ERP). This system is implemented by the Deanship of Information Technology with the direct support and follow-up of the UQU President, Prof. Moaddi bin Muhammad Aal Madh-hab, and the UQU Vice President, Prof. Farid Al-Ghamdi.
