Prince Khaled Al Faisal, Emir of Makkah and advisor to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques on Monday, Jumada al-Thani 07, received President of Umm Al Qura University (UQU) Dr. Bakri Bin M'atoog Bin Bakri Assas, Vice President for Graduate Studies and Scientific Research Dr. Thamir bin Hamdan al-Harbi and Dean of the Institute of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques for Hajj and Umrah Researches Dr. Sami bin Yasin Borhamin.
During the meeting Prince Khaled congratulated Dr. Borhamin on his appointment as dean of the Institute, wishing him luck and success in his mission to develop pilgrimage services.
For his part, Dr. Assas hailed Prince Khaled Al Faisal's support to the institute which is a bank of information, feedback and scientifically-suggested solutions for challenges facing organization of Hajj and Umrah.
The institute has adopted a batch of studies and projects that deal with pilgrimage from every dimension including engineering studies, administrative and humanitarian researches, media studies, informatics, scientific services and eco-health researches, he said, adding the institute is gifted by a galaxy of highly-qualified cadres who gained experience over years.
The institute carries out more than 70 researches and programs every year, he noted.
In this context, the Dean of the Institute saluted Prince Khaled, underlining his support to the institute. Dr. Borhamin said he prays to Allah to help him do his work in the best way possible to meet the aspirations of pilgrims.
