The General Administration of Institutional Communication at Umm Al-Qura University, in collaboration with the UQU Vice Presidency for Female Student Affairs and the Deanship of Faculty Members and Employees Affairs, today (Wednesday), 13 Safar, 1442 A.H., launched an initiative entitled, "We Communicate to Move Forward". The initiative intends to boost communication between the university administration and the affiliates, including academic staff members and employees.
Her Excellency the Vice President for Female Student Affairs, Dr. Sarah Al-Khouli, indicated the importance of communication of the senior leadership with the female employees in the educational institution to identify difficulties they face, explore talents, and develop skills. The aim of this is to develop work efficiency, boost the team spirit in a bid to upgrade the system, and build bridges of confidence inside the university community.
On her part, the Vice Dean of Faculty Members and Employees Affairs, Dr. Kholoud Abul-Naja, highlighted the pivotal role of the employee in upgrading the system, through his knowledge expertise and harnessing his potentials in developing and improving the work mechanism. This can be reached, she expounded, by providing a proper work environment for the female employees, enabling them to undertake their assigned tasks in an easy and convenient manner. She went on to add that all these are reflected in raising the level of job satisfaction and in improving the quality of performance to achieve the strategic objectives of the university in all fields.
The Deputy General Supervisor of the General Administration of Institutional Communication, Dr. Hanadi Bihairi, said the initiative aims at building communication between the senior leadership in the university and the female employees in the deanships, institutes, colleges, and departments. This is through regular visits to be conducted by the UQU Vice President for Female Students Affairs to all the departments of the university in order to learn about the needs of the female employees and identify their demands. Such concern will boost the employees' loyalty to the system and improve their mental image towards their institution, which will later result in sustainable development of the institutional communication in the university.
