The Vice Deanship of Student Affairs Celebrates the 90th National Day

Under the patronage of His Excellency the UQU President, Prof. Abdullah Bafail, the Deanship of Student Affairs, represented by the Vice Deanship at Al-Qunfudhah, celebrated the 90th Saudi National Day, on Monday, 11 Safar, 1442 A.H.

The ceremony started with a recitation of the Qur'an. This was followed by the Royal Salute, and then His Excellency the President of Umm Al-Qura University, Prof. Abdullah bin Omar Bafail, delivered a speech. Afterwards, His Excellency the Dean of Student Affairs, Dr. Omar bin Siraj Sunbul, addressed the audience, and this was followed by the speech of Her Excellency Dr. Sarah bint Omar Al-Khuli, the Vice President for Female Student Affairs. His Excellency the Vice Dean of Student Affairs, Dr. Muhammad Al-Matehami, welcomed the attendants and congratulated the wise leadership on this precious occasion. Her Excellency the Vice Dean of Student Affairs, Dr. Nuwair Saeed Bajabir, asserted that celebrating the 90th Saudi National Day comes while the country is going through a new phase of development with the future vision (the Saudi Vision 2030), reflecting the aspirations of the leadership (may Allah protect it) to build a bright future for this country and achieving comprehensive development.

Next, the initiatives were presented by the Vice Deanship of Female Students, which are a gesture of loyalty and allegiance. This was followed by an operetta called "Shabab Eldar", presented by the Vice Deanship of Student Affairs. The ceremony included words of congratulations from the leaders of the colleges in Al-Qunfudhah, the announcement of the results of the two competitions ("Determination till the End" and "Talents in Showing Love for the Homeland"), a display of poetic abilities, national songs, and students’ participations, in addition to a presentation of the national vision.

The ceremony ended with thanks and appreciation being extended to all those responsible for the success of this virtual ceremony and all the honorable attendees, blessing these efforts. We supplicate Allah to safeguard our homeland, and perpetuate the security, safety, glory and stability of our dear Kingdom under our wise leadership.
